If anybody can help me with this issue it would be much appreciated. So, to summarize, changing the resolution of my display from its native resolution to any other resolution, and then back, causes a number of system tray icons to completely disappear, and can only be fixed with a shoddy workaround I replicated the issue (while not gaming), by changing the graphics from 4K, to 1080p, then back to 4K from within the “Display Settings”, and this also causes the system tray icons to disappear, with the same workarounds allowing them to come back. Restarting “explorer.exe” does nothing (and in some cases makes it worse). Logging off and back on or rebooting fixes the issue and the icons come back. I have optimized all my games within Nvidia GeForce Experience to launch in 1080p, as optimizing them for playing in 4K decreases the overall graphics quality.Įver since the Windows 10 - 1803 update, when I exit any game (which automatically switches the display resolution from 1080p back to 4K), a selection of icons from my system tray (when clicking the little up arrow to show hidden icons) completely disappear.
